Dr. Lachlan Munn is a fellow Coolum Beach Local, having lived in Marcoola, Mt Coolum and Point Arkwright.

Lachlan is known for his commitment to personalised care integrating dental health and well being and he brings a range of dental treatment and knowledge to Sunshine Smiles Dental Coolum Beach. He is skilled in a variety of advanced procedures, including Invisalign (clear aligners), dental implants, smile makeovers (bonded and porcelain veneers) and full mouth rehabilitations, oral surgery and minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry.

Lachlan is continuously expanding his expertise through ongoing education and staying at the forefront of the latest advancements in dentistry, to ensure his patients receive the best quality care in order to  achieve each patient’s unique needs and personalised goals. Lachlan is dedicated to crafting tailored treatment plans addressing dental concerns and also supporting broader health objectives.

Lachlan prioritises his patient’s comfort and satisfaction, ensuring a stress-free experience by providing a calm and supportive environment throughout the dental journey. He is aware dental procedures can cause anxiety for some people and Lachlan is able to provide various sedation options for mild anxiety and IV sedation for extreme situations, ensuring patients are able to achieve their oral health goals despite being apprehensive.

Dr. Jonathan is very excited to join the team at Sunshine Smiles Dental. He holds a Master of Dentistry from Griffith University on the Gold Coast and has gained diverse experience working in both public and private dental clinics across rural and urban settings. Before pursuing his passion for dentistry, he studied business and biotechnology, achieving first-class honours in biochemistry. Before embarking on his dental career, Jonathan spent several years working in the pharmaceutical industry in Osaka, Japan. His time in Japan not only allowed him to develop professionally but also gave him the opportunity to immerse himself in the language and culture. So, if you’re ever in the mood to practice your Japanese while in the dental chair, Jonathan is your go-to! Despite his deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine and culture, Jonathan’s desire to become a healthcare professional led him back to Australia, where he pursued his dream of becoming a dentist. He is passionate about delivering exceptional dental care and takes great pride in helping patients improve their health, confidence, and quality of life.

Outside the clinic, Jonathan is an avid traveller, having explored over 30 countries with more adventures on the horizon. He also enjoys spending time in the kitchen and considers himself a pretty decent cook. When he’s not traveling or cooking, you can find him gaming through the weekends. He’s also the proud owner of two adorable (but occasionally mischievous) Italian Greyhounds.

Lauren is a friendly and caring oral health therapist who is passionate about providing quality dental care for the Sunshine Coast community.

Lauren takes pride in sharing her knowledge to help her patients lead healthy lives by offering practical tips to help them maintain healthy teeth, gums and smiles for life. Whether working with children or adults, her goal is to provide the highest standard of care in a friendly, relaxed environment.

As an Oral Health Therapist, Lauren can complete dental treatment on children and provide periodontal therapy and maintenance hygiene appointments. With her warm and approachable nature, Lauren has a natural ability to make even the youngest patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. Her gentle approach, combined with her expertise, ensures a positive dental experience for children and their families.
